Seventh Heaven with a Parisian View

Literally a stone’s throw away from the Apartments du Louvre is the magnificent luxury hotel, Le Cheval Blanc. Inside the hotel, on the 7th floor, you’ll find a contemporary brasserie called “Le Tout-Paris” where you can enjoy both an incredible cuisine and an even more incredible view. The brasserie is divided into three separate sections – each one with its own attitude. First, there is a light-filled pop-décor room called “La Salle Lumineuse”.

Its combination of bright colors and 70’s style furniture is a perfect place to start your day. Secondly, the terrace with its view of the Seine and the monuments of Paris (Notre Dame, Eiffel Tower, Pantheon, etc.) will take your breath away. The third section is a lush hanging garden where you can visually take in the famous rooftops of Paris while you dine. There is also a handsome marble bar where signature cocktails are revisited in style.

Mediterranean-Style Fine Dining

Sharing the same floor in the Cheval Blanc is the newest “place to be” in Paris, the Langosteria restaurant, an exceptional fine-dining experience specializing in seafood. Freshness and excellence abound in this amazing culinary experience recently exported from Italy by Enrico Buonocore. Shellfish, tuna, seafood platters, surprising combinations of fish and pasta along with a selection of more than 900 wines make for an extraordinary meal and an unforgettable evening. You’ll love the immaculate white tablecloths in this stylish setting and the view of the Left Bank.

"Langosteria" Open for lunch and dinner from wednesdays to sundays. Reservations required by email or langosteria.paris@chevalblanc.com or on the Cheval Blanc website directly.

Good Vibes, Good Food and a Sense of Humor

If you’re looking for a restaurant that’s a bit cozier, try “Maison Maison”. As its name suggests, it offers home-style cooking with an organic twist. All its menu offerings are fresh and local. Most of them are also organic, including the wine and beer. You can find empanadas, homemade fries, chimichurri, bluefin tuna or shared plates such as burrata or roasted eggplant. It’s a perfect outdoor dining spot facing 16 Quai du Louvre, a quick walk from Apartments du Louvre (just head to the river – you’ll find it.) If it’s raining, there’s a charming indoor dining area that’s tucked away between two flights of stairs. “Maison Maison” says “Our beer is as cold as your ex’s heart”. Needless to say, they offer a fine selection of tap and bottled ice-cold beer.

Music Anyone?

Since Apartments du Louvre ais so close to the Seine, you should visit one of the famous houseboats (called “peniche”) in the evening or for an afternoon walk. One of the most popular ones is the Peniche Marcounet located in the heart of Paris, on the right bank between the Hotel de Ville and Ile Saint Louis. It is essentially a winebar, but also offers snacks and dinners. It is also a music venue, featuring well-known Parisian artists. Their Sunday Jazz Brunch includes a children’s menu. The Peniche Marcounet is a charming houseboat built in 1925 offering another wonderful view of Paris.
