3rd Annual Car Free Day in Paris

Robert Gourley

Imagine strolling on the Champs Elysees, Place de la Concorde, Rue de Rivoli, Avenue de l’Opera without the sounds of engine and horn, pollution, clutter of cars and busses… It is quite a peaceful sight. Ok, you’ll still have to follow traffic rules and watch out for the occasional public bus and taxi…

Day without My Car as it is officially called, will be going on Sunday October 1st 2017 from 11h00 to 18h00. Taxis will be allowed to work, as well as emergency personnel of course. If you are driving in during that time, you’ll have to leave your car on the outskirts of Paris.

If you miss this event and/or want to see more of a car free Paris, remember that the Champs Elysees is closed for traffic every first Sunday of the month.
