A Close look at one of our premium flats

The Stunning, Modern and Timeless 44AS Duplex Rooftop Apartment

In the spring of 2019, we finished the renovations of an entire building , adding 6 shinny new flats to our Saint Honoré Location just two steps away from the Louvre Museum in the very heart of Paris. This apartment sits on the top of this building. It is a unique gem thanks to its stunning views of typically Parisian rooftops including the Louvre Museum, the Church of Saint Germain l'Auxerlois, an even the Eiffel Tower! Let's take a look inside the apartment.

The Bottom Floor

On the first level of this two floor duplex apartment, you will find the two bedrooms and two bathrooms. One bedroom has an ensuite bath with a bathtub for that well deserved vacation relaxation time. Our apartments are very popular with families which is what we kept in mind when ordering the beds and put in beds that can be conveniently split into two single ones in each bedroom should people in your party not want to share the same bed. When designing these apartments, we thought of the comfort of our clients. From installing central A/C for those hot summer night, USB plugs by the bed for charging phones and installing the highest, most reliable wifi we could find. Every detail was chosen with the short term traveler in mind.

For the bathrooms, we made an modern asthetic choice for these apartments and put in black accents such as black faucets and radiators. The beige tiles give the bathrooms the warmth and comfort whereas the black accent really adds to that modern, sleek look.

When decorating these apartments, we wanted to push foward a modern comfort but keeping in mind that classic french touch, blending the old and the new for a unique look. During renovations, we discovered many orginal beams that were still in good shape, we were able to keep them and show them off for that warm french decor. You'll notice some cross shaped beams, those are the "Croix Saint André". It holds its' name from Saint Andrews who is said to be crucified on a cross like this. In construction world, its a wonderful tool to enforce stability! This building is estimated to have been built in the 18th century. It's hard to imagine all the history that has gone through our doors, if these beams could talk.

Lighting is a very important decorative aspects so we took our time finding the perfect light fixtures and chandeliers. The light fixtures you can find on the wall downstairs were carefully chosen to blend with the beams and accentuate the warmth from the natural wood that you'll also find from the solid wood floors throughout the apartment.

The Living Space

Up the stairs is the living space: a large room with an open plan kitchen, dining table for six and a living room area with high quality double sofa sleeper. Being the very last floor of the building, the high ceilings, original wooden beams and a large skylight add a lot of depth and light to the space; not to mention the large windows that open to that amazing Parisian view.

You'll find an old painting above the couch that we recently restored and put up. The lighting in the painting is quite stunning and it will make you feel like you have a piece of the Louvre in your apartment. Adding this painting in the modern living room is another perfect example of blending the old with the new.

The Kitchen is fully equipped with an induction stove, an oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, extensive cookware for convenient meal prep and dinner with a view! The bar stools are great for hanging out around the chef in your group.

Have a look at the virtual visit so you can really project yourself on your next vacation in Paris. A bientôt!
